Full Professor in Communication Multimedia with Tenure/Aggregation in eLearning, with a career dedicated to fostering excellence and inclusion in higher education. At the Polytechnic University of Santarém, the role of Pro-President for Innovation encompasses the development of initiatives connecting academia and society, including the EU University Alliance (ACE2-EU) and leadership in networks such as METARED and RIAL. Contributions include the creation and coordination of innovative educational programs, such as the Digital Literacy for Labor Market Inclusion course, and involvement in EU research projects focused on digital and social inclusion. Coordinator Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém and leader of the Master’s Program in Applied Informatics. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Scientific Journal of UI_IPSantarém and Vice-Coordinator at the Digital Literacy and Social Inclusion Hub (PLDIS) of CIAC, University of Algarve. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Évora, his research focuses on recommender systems, educational technologies, and digital health literacy. Over 30 years, he has authored numerous publications, developed digital tools for health empowerment and education, and earned recognition for his contributions to technology in education and health.
