Maria Potes Barbas
Full Professor in Educational Multimedia Communication and Coordinator of the Digital Literacy and Social Inclusion Research Hub (CIAC-PLDIS) at the Polytechnic University of Santarém. She is also an Invited Full Professor at Universidade Aberta (Lisbon) and serves as an EU evaluator for programmes including Horizon 2020, Erasmus+, EUREKA, Innowide, and ICT & Ethics initiatives.
She is Head of Innovation of the ACE2EU European University Alliance and a representative of FOREU4ALL, with extensive experience in leading international research projects, FCT PhD scholarships, and innovative educational programmes focused on digital literacy, responsible AI, and social inclusion.

Sub-Coordinator
Filipe Madeira
Coordinator Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém and leader of the Master’s Program in Applied Informatics. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Scientific Journal of UI_IPSantarém and Vice-Coordinator at the Digital Literacy and Social Inclusion Hub (PLDIS) of CIAC, University of Algarve. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Évora, his research focuses on recommender systems, educational technologies, and digital health literacy. Over 30 years, he has authored numerous publications, developed digital tools for health empowerment and education, and earned recognition for his contributions to technology in education and health.
