On October 1, 2025, INCO Academy, part of the INCO Group, and the Pólo de Literacia Digital e Inclusão Social (PLDIS) of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém (IPSantarém), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish collaboration for the implementation of the NewFutures: AI program.
The agreement formalizes IPSantarém as a university partner in this international initiative, which aims to equip students in their final year of study with core generative AI literacy and practical, track-specific skills to support their future careers.
The NewFutures: AI program, scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2026, will be delivered online through INCO Academy’s digital platform. The training consists of approximately 40 hours over four weeks, including a foundational module on AI literacy and additional modules in areas such as Marketing and Communications, Finance and Accounting, Business Operations and Logistics, ICT and Technical Support, and Administration.
Under the agreement, INCO Academy will provide the online curriculum, platform, and communication materials, while IPSantarém will promote the program among students and support their engagement and participation.
Both institutions also agreed to explore further forms of collaboration, including the creation of an AI community of practice within the university and the organization of live sessions for students.
